Sisters Folk Festival

The Sisters Folk Festival is a celebration of American music from blues to bluegrass. The festival runs in September in Sisters and covers seven stages with performances by internationally recognized artists and the best of up-and-coming talent in folk, blues, bluegrass and all genres in between. A unique and intimate setting for fantastic music.

Quilts in the Old Mill District

20 shops and restaurants in the Old Mill District will showcase quilts made by talented Central Oregon quilters.  A self-guided walking tour of quilts on display. Quilt Walk brochures available at the Ticket Mill and participating businesses in the Old Mill District.

Around the Block Quilt Walk includes over 100 quilts on display in Sisters and Black Butte Ranch during the entire month of July.  The Old Mill District proudly displays quilts as an extension of the Around the Block Quilt Walk showcasing quilts in Bend. The world-famous Sisters' Outdoor Quilt Show in Sisters, Oregon.

Balloons Over Bend and Children’s Festival

The Children’s Festival runs Saturday-Sunday, with more than 60 activities including crafts, educational opportunities, face painting, rock climbing, bouncy houses, water toys and numerous game booths. Balloons Over Bend will be Friday-Sunday at Riverbend Park. The hot air balloons launch each morning at 6 AM. Night Glow on Saturday at dusk to see colorful hot air balloons glow brightly against the night sky. The festival is free, and activities range in price with all proceeds benefiting Saving Grace.

Deschutes County Fair

The Deschutes County Fair in Redmond. The Deschutes County Fair offers lots of great family-friendly entertainment including 4-H farm animals, Family-Fun Zone and carnival rides. Rodeo performances are free with admission on a first come first serve basis. Stroll through the barns and see the goats, pigs and bunnies and many more animals raised by local kids.


The massive celebration of all things winter will bring national music acts, snow sports, a fire pit competition, ice sculptures, the OMSI Kids Area, fine art, delicious food, beer, wine and so much more.

Bend, Oregon, is known for its plethora of hiking trails. With Signature Bend near 108 great hiking trails, we compiled a few of our favorites:

Pilot Butte

Only an 11-minute drive from our Signature Bend property, the Pilot Butte hike is a local favorite.  The Pilot Butte hike according to Trip Advisor is ranked #3 of 74 Nature & Parks in Bend. The Pilot Butte is a moderate hike with natural trails that will lead you to breathtaking views of the Cascades and Bend Oregon.


Tumalo Falls

A brief 32-minute drive from our Signature Bend property, Tumalo Falls presents one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Oregon, WA.  According to TripAdvisor, the Tumalo Falls is ranked #7 of 23 Nature & Parks in Bend.  At the end of your hike, you will find yourself next to the waterfall that provides an excellent vantage point to the rest of the park.


Sparks Lake

About a 40-minute drive is all it takes to experience Sparks Lake and all its natural beauty.  Whether you are kayaking, hiking, mountain biking or just site seeing, this is a must-see when you are in Bend Oregon.  According to TripAdvisor, Sparks Lake is ranked #8 of 23 Nature & Parks in Bend and is highly recommended by those who have visited.


Smith Rock

Within a 35-minute drive from our property, you will find one of the most well-renowned hiking, climbing, biking hot spots in central Oregon. Smith Rock State Park is well known for its naturally carved rock sculptures, including the famous 350-foot-tall "Monkey Face".  When looking for things to do in Bend, Oregon, Smith Rock is a must see.
