California State Capitol

A Historic Sacramento Landmark

Home to the government of California, the California State Capitol houses the office of the governor as well as the California legislature. Completed in the late 1800s, the capitol is listed on the National Register of Historic Places, and is listed as a California Historical Landmark. The building also serves as the California State Capitol Museum, and often hosts events in addition to being open for tours.
