Dollywood Theme Park
One of Tennessee’s Biggest Attractions
Located within a 10-minute drive of GuestHouse Inn Pigeon Forge, Dollywood features a theme park, a water park, and special events for the whole family. Owned by renowned country music entertainer Dolly Parton and Herschend Family Entertainment, this massive complex brings in over 3 million guests per season, from March to December.
The theme park boasts over 40 rides and attractions for visitors of all ages, ranging from the toddler-friendly Busy Bees to the thrilling Daredevil Falls. You can stop by the Eagle Mountain Sanctuary to see the non-releasable bald eagles or head to the Smoky Mountain Home for a replica of Dolly Parton’s childhood home in Locust Ridge. Meanwhile, the adjacent water park is a great place to cool down, featuring a lazy river, a wave pool, and numerous water slides. Both areas of the park offer several different dining options, including traditional, sit-down Southern dining and more casual concession stands.
Dollywood theme park also hosts live entertainment throughout the season. Listen to the sounds of the Smoky Mountain String Band, the 1960s-inspired Gem Tones, or My People!, featuring members of Dolly Parton’s family. The end of the year is especially festive at Dollywood and includes numerous Christmas-themed performances to delight the entire family. The holiday season schedule includes Christmas with the Kingdom Heirs, Appalachian Christmas, and ‘Twas the Night Before Christmas.
