    Balloons Over Bend and Children’s Festival

    Balloons Over Bend will be Friday-Sunday at Riverbend Park. The hot air balloons launch each morning at 6am. Night Glow on Saturday at dusk to see colorful hot air balloons glow brightly against the night sky. The Children’s Festival runs Saturday-Sunday, with more than 60 activities including crafts, educational opportunities, face painting, rock climbing, bouncy houses, water toys and numerous game booths.     Deschutes County Fair

    The Deschutes County Fair  in Redmond. The Deschutes County Fair offers lots of great family-friendly entertainment including 4-H farm animals, Family-Fun Zone and carnival rides. Rodeo performances are free with admission on a first come first serve basis.     Est. 2007, Bend –Brothers Chris and Jeremy Cox, co-owners of JC’s Bar & Grill in downtown Bend, made a decision to brew their own beer. They launched the Wildfire Brewing Company in 2007 and renamed it 10 Barrel.


    Est. 2004, Bend – Most visitors instantly find McMenamins Pub on Bond Street, perhaps sneaking a peek into its basement, where colorfully painted brewing tanks occupy what once was a children’s nursery. 


    Start your wine tasting tour at Volcano Vineyards. Let Liz and Scott Ratcliff guide you through a flight of their champion Syrah and Red Blends in a casual and friendly setting in the Century Center venue.

    Next stop is the Wine Shop and Beer Tasting Bar located at the northwest end of Minnesota Avenue. With wines from around the world, the wine bar features wines, ports, sakes and champagnes by both the taste and the glass, plus 50 international and micro beers. The patio is also one of Bend’s best places to people watch. 

    Continue your wine quest at the Naked Winery Tasting Room in the Old Mill District. This Hood River based winery brings exotic brands and provocative labels to Bend. They source their fruit from select vineyards in Oregon and Washington, producing subtle and complex wines.
