At the end of August every summer, The US Open attracts the world’s most talented tennis players. Matches are played in and around Arthur Ashe Stadium in Queens, which is just a short train ride away on the 7 subway line.
UN General Assembly
The United Nations headquarters are right across the water from Long Island City. Delegates from across the globe convene every few months to discuss global matters. The UN Visitor Center lets you tour the headquarters, learn about its history, and see the art in the public areas.
Every November, the NYC Marathon weaves its way through the five boroughs. It’s the largest marathon in the world, with upwards of 50,000 people taking on the challenging route. Our location on the East River puts you in a prime spot to watch the legs in Queens or head to Manhattan to be at the finish line.
Taste of LIC
