02/16/17 - 7PM - Allison Brown-Corson

Presentation by Allison Brown Corson from YES.

Each night, hundreds of youth in the Omaha metro are homeless. Many of these youth have been physically, emotionally or sexually abused, making it unsafe for them to return home. Many others are facing health, mental health and substance abuse issues beyond their control.

YES is the provider of services to homeless and at-risk youth in the Omaha metropolitan area. Our full-continuum of care provides street-based services to find youth in crisis, emergency shelter for youth who need immediate housing for up to three weeks, and long-term programs to guide youth towards self-sufficiency. YES expects to help over 2,000 youth with basic needs, life skills training and self-sufficiency during this fiscal year with your support.

Allison Brown-Corson has worked at YES for two years as the Director of Donor and Community Relations.  She has been working in the nonprofit realm for over 25 years.  She is a graduate from UNO and has a master’s degree in Criminal Justice. Allison has spent the majority of her professional career working with youth in our community.  She has been married to her husband Jim (who is Methodist Minister at Rockbrook UMC)  for over 30 years and has three adult children.
