St. Luke's Hospital/Jacksonville Historical Society

Old St. Luke’s Hospital is one of Florida’s oldest private hospitals and Jacksonville’s first. Built in 1873, it was founded by three local Jacksonville women – Susan Hartridge, Myra H. Mitchell, and Anna Doggett – to aid people during the winter tourist season. Now, its maintained status as a U.S. National Register of Historic Places. Added bonus: It currently houses the archives of the Jacksonville Historical Society, where you can view photographs and mementos of Jacksonville’s past.
