Visit Our Pacific Highway Hotel

During Your Great American Roadtrip

Eureka lies along the famous Pacific Coast Highway, which winds along California's coast all the way up to Washington. Also known as Highway 101, the route to our hotel will allow you to take in as many stunning vistas of the Pacific Ocean as you want.

Our comfortable Pacific Coast hotel in Eureka lets you stay near the ocean along your journey through the West Coast.

Start on the PCH just south of San Francisco to see Big Sur and its jaw-dropping cliffs. You'll see the famous Bixby Bridge, whose arches span over Rainbow Canyon.

While you're on your way through Big Sur, check out Hearst Castle. Built by William Randolph Hearst, the castle was the inspiration for Xanadu in Citizen Kane. You can tour the house's grand rooms and ornate pool areas.

Our road trip hotel in Eureka is the perfect spot to stay on your way through Northern California.

While you're here, experience Humboldt Bay National Wildlife Refuge, or take a trip north to the famous Redwood National Park. When you leave our Pacific Highway hotel and cross the border into Oregon, head to South Port Orford's Prehistoric Gardens. There, you'll find concrete re-creations of near-life-size—if not scientifically accurate—dinosaurs and prehistoric animals.

Finally, drive north to Washington to experience the Olympic Peninsula. This pristine natural area was virtually unmapped until 50 years ago. As one of the least populated areas in the country, it has stunning, pristine shorelines, lakes, waterfalls, mountain top vistas, and even Quinault Rain Forest.

While you're there, make sure to stop by Seattle, one of the most unique cities in the country. With hotels all over the Pacific Northwest, you'll be able to stay in Red Lion's comfortable locations during your stay.
