The music of 1967 became the soundtrack to what was known as the Summer of Love. Folk singer Theo Stone performs songs from that time by the Beatles, the Byrds, Buffalo Springfield, Donovan, Bob Dylan, and more.
Theo Stone has been performing blends of folk, rock, jazz and klezmer for audiences in the Baltimore-Washington area for more than 40 years. He specializes in folk music of the '60s. A native of Washington, DC, Theo grew up in the 1960s and was inspired listening to the music of the Beatles, Rolling Stones, and Bob Dylan. He began performing professionally with his first band in the late 1960s with a group that specialized in Soul music. In the early 1970s, he transitioned to folk and folk rock, and played widely in the coffeehouse scene in the DC area. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Theo played extensively with the folk group the Fabrangen Fiddlers, which specializes in American, hot klezmer, and Jewish folk music. In addition to playing throughout the Baltimore-Washington area, the group performed throughout the United States and in Latin America. Theo has returned to his 60's folk-rock roots with his current repertoire. He can be seen in both the Baltimore-DC area as well as the Tampa Bay area.
