This traditional French-style bakery specializes in freshly-baked small batch bread. Varieties include Pain de Mie (all white flour with fermented with milk), Pugliese (a classic technique with Yukon potato), Rye & Sunflower (white and dark rye with roasted sunflower), and other unique recipes. The cafe also serves quiches, sandwiches, and of course, coffee.

The Commons Café

Located within the same building as The Brooklyn Commons communal workspace, this café is a great place to settle in with a laptop, read a good book, or connect with other patrons. The menu includes fair trade organic coffee, beer and wine, vegan and vegetarian dishes, and more.

One Girl Cookies

Grab a lemon bar, a cappuccino, and a seat at this cute Cobble Hill espresso and bake shop owned by husband and wife duo David Crofton and Dawn Casale. Featuring a sweet selection of cookies with a side of coffee, this whimsical spot is a great place to bring the kids for an afternoon treat.

Ninth Street Espresso

This specialty coffee bar first opened its doors on the Lower East Side of Manhattan. Fifteen years later it boasts four additional locations, including this outpost found at the Threes Brewing space. Offering pastries from Balthazar bakery, this shop is recommended for serious coffee consumers with a taste for perfectly balanced espresso.
