Terms and Conditions



RLH Corporation ("RLH Corporation") guarantees that our lowest rate, displayed exclusively on RLH Corporation branded web sites, will be the best online room rate for any Hotel RL, Red Lion Hotel, Red Lion Inn and Suites, Guesthouse or Settle Inn Extended Stay property. This guarantee applies to reservations for RLH Corporation direct-booking customers with guest rooms at the participating brands in the United States. For a claim to be valid under this guarantee it must satisfy all Terms and Conditions contained herein, and be submitted in compliance with the claims processing procedures.

If a guest finds and advises RLH Corporation of a lower, unrestricted and publicly available price for any hotel listed online that is a qualified participating brand, published, available room rate that is viewable, bookable and follows the same terms listed below, let us know and we promise to match that price plus take an additional 10% off to show our thanks for your loyalty and patronage. Unrestricted rates refer to universal rates defined as publicly-advertised rates available to non-qualified guests.

On the same day that a guest makes a confirmed reservation on the branded website(s)

  • For the same hotel;
  • For up to 2 adults;
  • For the same room type and amenities;
  • For the same bed type; and
  • For the same stay pattern dates.

The RLH Corporation Guest Relations team will validate the competing rate within 48 hours of receiving the price match claim form and notify the guest of the results through the e-mail address provided. The “Best Rate Guarantee” price match program only applies to Competing Rates found on the following web sites:,,,, and ("non-opaque Online Travel Agency [OTA] channels").

Terms & Conditions

  • The "Best Rate Guarantee” does not apply to the following rate types: (1) Rates that are not publicly available, such as negotiated corporate or group rates; (2) Discount rates offered only to members of groups or individuals who meet previously specified criteria, including but not limited to AAA members, seniors or government employees; (3) Package rates that include the room and other components such as travel, car rental, entertainment, and/or non-breakfast meals; (4) Rates negotiated for stay extending beyond 30-nights; (5) Rates that are available on auction web sites; (6) Rates available on opaque web sites, such as and, that do not disclose the hotel brand until the reservation is complete; (7) Additional promotional coded offers provided by that site as an additional discount; hereafter collectively referred to as "Qualified Discount Rate."
  • Rate comparison will be made net of any taxes, gratuities, or any other fees associated with the room rate (for those sites that place the charges for a 3rd and 4th adult in a separate section or label an extra adult charge as a "fee," we will make the rate comparison on that total which applies for the equal number of adults). Rate disparities solely attributable to fluctuations and/or differences in currency exchange rates are excluded from the "Lowest Rate Period" (Note: Red Lion Inn & Suites, Victoria BC rates are quoted in Canadian funds on
  • Employees and agents of RLH Corporation and their immediate family members and persons living in the same household as such individuals, are not eligible to participate in the "Best Rate Guarantee."
  • The "Best Rate Guarantee” price match discount cannot be combined with other offers or promotions and is void where prohibited by law. RLH Corporation reserves the right to amend, revise, supplement, suspend or discontinue the "Best Rate Guarantee” at any time in its sole discretion and without prior notice.



Price Match Claims Processing Requirements

  • A claim must be submitted on the same day of making the original reservation through RLH Corporation branded website(s). An original reservation refers to the initial reservation made through RLH Corporation branded website(s) and does not include modified or cancelled reservations.
  •  The submission of a screenshot of the rate violation directly from the competing website is a mandatory requirement in order for a claim to be validated.
  • RLH Corporation Guest Relations associates have the sole right and discretion to determine the validity of any claim including, but not limited to, determining that it is for the same hotel, room type, dates, and that it meets all Terms & Conditions and claims processing requirements.
  • Within 48 hours of validating the “Best Rate Guarantee,” the RLH Corporation Guest Relations Associate will send an email communication that includes a confirmation that the room rate associated with the original reservation has been updated to match the competing rate for that stay.
  • If you cancel your reservation after confirmation of an approved "Best Rate Guarantee” price match claim, you forfeit all benefits associated with such a validated claim.
