2/17/16 - 8pm - Reuben "Dubscience" Greene

Reuben Greene is a second generation, two-time award winning Professional Photographer, hailing from Brooklyn, New York. He honed his love for photography from his father Master Photographer Cornelius Greene at the age of fifteen. Studying under his father for over ten years as an apprentice, he also attended the Theatrical Design Technology conservatory at SUNY Purchase, Purchase NY, with a focus on lighting which adds value to his current work. Since then he has broadened his creative visions through the viewfinder in a photojournalistic fashion while maintaining his own brand and style.

Starting his photojournalistic journey at many of the events that are part of the Baltimore City’s underground arts/entertainment/culture scene, “Dubscience” found a home in the world of performance photography, capturing classic images of incredible area artists on stages across the city – images that flooded social media and made performers and fans take notice of his work. From there his roster of subjects has grown tremendously, and his performance photography work led him to other opportunities to let his talent shine. He has documented short films, music videos, high fashion photo shoots, major events and on numerous “photo walks” he has uncovered much of this city’s hidden beauty.

Over the last 6 years Reuben has served as House Photographer for many different establishments such as Nowchild Soundstage, The Get Down, The Rockwell, Terra Cafe and The Living Well. In September of 2015, his artwork "FlipSide of Space & Time" was commissioned by MICA (Maryland Institute College of Art) to contribute a photographic window installation for the "Intersection" exhibition. Currently his commercial work is being displayed as an advertising campaign on The Baltimore LED Art Board.
