Lowest Rate Period

Red Lion Hotels Corporation ("Red Lion") guarantees that our lowest rate, displayed exclusively on Red Lion branded web sites, will be the best online room rate for any Red Lion branded hotel ("Lowest Rate Period"). This guarantee applies to reservations for Red Lion loyalty members with guest rooms at Red Lion branded hotels in the United States and Canada. Red Lion branded web sites include, but are not limited to www.redlion.com, www.redlionrandrclub.com and hyper local property websites (e.g. www.anaheim.com).  For a claim to be valid under this guarantee it must satisfy all Terms and Conditions contained herein, and be submitted in compliance with the claims processing procedures described below.

Terms and Conditions

  • If a guest finds and advises Red Lion Hotels Corporation of a lower, published, available room rate that is viewable and bookable and follows the same below terms, Red Lion will match the competing rate for that stay:
    • On the same day that they made a confirmed reservation on the branded Web site(s)
    • For the same hotel
    • For up to 2 adults
    • For the same room type and amenities
    • For the same bed type
    • For the same stay pattern dates

 Red Lion Hotels Corporation Customer Care team will validate the Competing Rate within 48 hours of receiving the "Lowest Rate Period" claim form and notify the guest of the results through the e-mail address provide. The "Lowest Rate Period" only applies to Competing Rates found on the following web sites: www.expedia.com, www.hotels.com, www.orbitz.com, www.travelocity.com, www.booking.com and www.travelweb.com ("non-opaque Online Travel Agency [OTA] channels").

  • The "Lowest Rate Period" does not apply to the following rate types: (1) Rates that are not publicly available, such as negotiated corporate or group rates; (2) Discount rates offered only to members of groups or individuals who meet previously specified criteria, including but not limited to AAA members, seniors or government employees; (3) Package rates that include the room and other components such as travel, car rental, entertainment, and/or non-breakfast meals; (4) Rates negotiated for stay extending beyond 30-nights; (5) Rates that are available on auction web sites; (6) Rates available on opaque web sites, such as www.priceline.com and www.hotwire.com, that do not disclose the hotel brand until the reservation is complete; (7) Additional promotional coded offers provided by that site as an additional discount; hereafter collectively referred to as "Qualified Discount Rate."
  • Rate comparison will be made net of any taxes, gratuities, or any other fees associated with the room rate (for those sites that place the charges for a 3rd and 4th adult in a separate section, or label an extra adult charge as a "fee," we will make the rate comparison on that total which applies for the equal number of adults). Rate disparities solely attributable to fluctuations and/or differences in currency exchange rates are excluded from the "Lowest Rate Period" (Note: Red Lion Inn & Suites, Victoria BC rates are quoted in Canadian funds on www.RedLion.com).

Claims Processing

  • A claim must be submitted on the same day of making the original reservation through Red Lion branded web site(s). An original reservation refers to the initial reservation made through Red Lion branded web site(s) and does not include modified or cancelled reservations.
  • A "Lowest Rate Period" claim form is available on Red Lion branded web site(s). This claim form may only be submitted electronically.
  • Red Lion Customer Care Associates have the sole right and discretion to determine the validity of any claim, including, but not limited to, determining that it is for the same hotel, room type, dates, and that it meets all Terms, Conditions, and Claims Processing requirements.
  • Within 48 hours of validating the "Lowest Rate Period" claim, the Red Lion Customer Care Associate will send an email communication that includes a confirmation that the Room rate associated with the Original Reservation has been updated to match the Competing Rate for that stay.
  • If you cancel your reservation after confirmation of an approved "Lowest Rate Period" claim, you forfeit all benefits associated with such a validated claim.
  • Employees and agents of Red Lion Hotels Corporation or Xerox and the immediate family members and persons living in the same household as such individuals, are not eligible to participate in the "Lowest Rate Period" 
  • The "Lowest Rate Period" Rate Guarantee cannot be combined with other offers or promotions, and is void where prohibited by law. Red Lion Hotels Corporation reserves the right to amend, revise, supplement, suspend or discontinue the "Lowest Rate Period" at anytime in its sole discretion and without prior notice.
